Live cruelty free!

Today, companies have a wide array of methods of testing their products. Yet, a massive amount continues to test their products on animals. Brands like L'Oreal, Dior, Dove, Lancôme, Libresse and Zalo, all choose to use extremely unnecessary metods. Metods include, but are not restricted to: Chemical toxicity (poisoning), Draize eye irritation (the substance in testing is poured into concious rabbits eyes. The animals are kept from rubbing their eyes by being physically restrained. The animals are killed when the tests conclude) and applicating the substance onto the animal's skin (rabbits are often used for this test. Their fur is shaved, the product is applied, then gauze patches are put on top to cover the product in testing. The animals are killed afterwards).

Every sane person on this planet can see the cruelty in these tests. Testing on animals are unnecessary, especially considering the amount of alternative and cruelty free methods, and they have proved to be quite dangerous to humans as well. Many products which turns out to cause to irritation, swelling, etc. on animals, turns out to be harmful to human beings, and vice versa.

Take a good long breath the next time you are in your shop of choice, and find yourself looking at the newest Max Factor mascara, or that Clairol hair dye which looks nice on the cover of the box. Why would you use your money on such animal loathing brands, when there is a whole world of fantastic, cruelty free products out there? Brands, whose products often are cheaper AND better?

  1. Bobbi Brown and Estee Launder are on Pet's list of companies that DO test on animals...

  2. Thank you for supporting brands that don't animal test. I thought Bobbi Brown did...but Lauder I thought was only testing because of the Chinese laws. I get so confused on that.
I do my best to be cruelty free as much as possible. How can you not support that? I just don't get buying L'Oreal and then going home and feeding your dog. It makes no sense to me.

I'm glad to find another Cruelty Free blogger!

  3. Any company that sells in China is NOT cruelty free as China requires animal testing. (Estee Lauder, MAC for example)
